First time they didn't get my order right . Been eating here for years. The mistake was immediately taken care of with a smile. Always great food and fast friendly service. Best quick stop on the trip going north or south! ( no Pic, I demolished it!)

Fantastic! I'm staying at a hotel in Bangor and ordered a carne asada and pork tamal through a delivery service. THERE WAS SO MUCH FOOD. I couldn't finish even half, and I'm excited to eat the rest for lunch tomorrow. The tamal was a meal in itself, covered in ground meat and tomato sauce. The masa/dough of the tamal was so soft and moist. Perfection. The carne asada was a little fatty, but they compensated by giving me a huge portion.

Our server, Andrea was very pleasant. We started with our drinks. We got the jumbo margaritas which were awesome. For dinner we ordered the fish tacos and the Veracruz plate which were amazing. The flavors were on point and I highly recommend Las Palapas Mexican restaurant if you’re visiting Bangor, Maine.

Never had a bad meal here. Staff is always friendly. Prices are fair per person. If you like Mexican style cuisine, Las Palapas is always a good choice

Las Palapas exceeded all expectations! From the moment we were seated, the experience was fantastic. They immediately brought out chips and salsa, which were homemade and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the queso fundido to accompany the chips, and it was excellent—rich, cheesy, and full of flavor. For the main course, I went with the steak enchiladas, and they were incredible. The portions were generous, and every bite was bursting with flavor. To top it all off, the staff was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. If you’re looking for great food, amazing service, and a warm atmosphere, Las Palapas is a must-visit!

I am by no means a Mexican Food enthusiast but dined here because I could literally walk across the parking lot from the hotel I was staying at in Bangor. There aren’t enough stars to give this place. I sat at the bar & was immediately served a generous serving of tortilla chips & salsa, both were delicious! I almost missed the Lunch Specials on the menu, had glanced over them without realizing it until almost 3pm (the cut off time to order unless you want to pay extra). I ordered the Lunch Fajita with Steak & the Classic House Lime Margarita. Everything was sizzling hot or nicely chilled as it should be and the Margarita was spot on & had just enough kick to it to make it enjoyable. Everyone was pleasant, friendly & welcoming. Glass glasses for water, no plastic. And the bars stools were SO comfy! I just can’t say enough. Great food, great service, excellent prices & a very relaxing beautiful atmosphere. I loved that the music in the background was loud enough to add to the atmosphere but subtle enough to be relaxing. I took home enough food for another generous meal. The photo doesn’t do it justice. So much food I couldn’t fit it all into the photo. Treat yourself & eat here!!

Amazingly authentic! The food was delicious and plentiful. The drinks (especially Margaritas) were huge and not watered down. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. In this area there are several Mexican restaurants but I have to stress how authentic Las Palapas is and how they take pride in their business. Will definitely return!

Favorite Mexican place to go to. Lunch special is a very generous serving for the price and you can't go wrong with their chips and salsa either! I love their Horchata too! Pictured is the Burrito Verde, chips, salsa, and horchata in the water bottle
